Ride With Tank

This will probably be my last update until we return from Pikes Peak.  Monday I took a ride to Geneva with the Struthers guys and then Mark and I continued on to Presque Isle.  Click here for some video and pictures from the trip.  I am really enjoying the new digital camcorder and I will be posting a lot of videos in the future.  Most of them probably will not be very good, but I am having fun so I just do not care if they are good or not. 

Wow, I guess summer is getting underway because I am updating more often!  We are leaving Saturday for Pikes Peak and I found this video on the net of a racer going up the road.  I think we will be doing it much slower than they are.  It is a 66MB download, but it is really good.  I also put together a little video from the last Deals Gap ride.  Click here to see it.  It is only 14MB and not nearly as good as the Pikes Peak one, but I am new to this whole video thing.

Many of the sport bike riders in the area do a thing where they rev their engines on the rev limiter.  Mark, Jim, and I have been studying this for a while now and have determined that this is a mating call.  We think this is how these guys communicate and we believe it means “I am ready to leave bike night now”.  Last Wednesday we ran a covert operation and I believe we are the first to have captured this call on video.  Click here to see this exclusive video.

Well, it has been a while since I updated, but I have been pretty busy.  bill- not davis and I went down to Deals Gap and had a great time.  The pancakes were even better this year I think.  There is nothing like riding the gap with a belly full of pancakes.  Click here to read about the trip.  Mark, Jim, and I are getting ready for the big one, Pikes Peak.  I just can not wait to get on the road for that one.  The Vstrom really does love the mountains.  I have some fliers for some more events that I am going to post in the next couple of days so check back soon.
