Ride Ideas

Tonight I was doing some research for good roads and I found something interesting.  I found a listing that said route 555 from Zanesville, OH to the river is the best road in Ohio.  While looking at the Mountainfest web site I saw that Rt. 50 in West Virginia was voted the fourth best road in the country to ride.  As it turns out, 555 meets 50 at the border.  I got an idea that this could be a great ride, but it will be a long ride.  It comes out to about 500 miles with a lot of it on two lane road.  Even so, Streets a Trips says we can do this ride in about 9 hours.  Add in an hour for breakfast, an hour for lunch, and an hour for dinner.  Leaving at 6:00AM should get us back around 6:00PM.  Let me know if anyone is interested in trying this one.

Easyriders Motorcycle Show

Today we took a ride to Columbus to see the Easyriders Motorcycle Show.  It was pretty interesting and I have posted the pictures of the bikes I liked the best here.  The guys from Milwaukee Iron were there and they insisted they get their pictures taken with the Tankster.

Ride it in the snow!

This morning on the way to work I saw something I could not believe.  I was heading north on 169 at about 6:30AM during the blizzard we had this morning and a guy on a motorcycle passed me going south.  I think he might have been on a Suzuki GSXR.  Here is a guy I could ride with.  I am sure the threat of rain in the forecast for a ride would not keep this guy from showing up for the ride.

Hello World!

Today I registered my domain and began the site.  Here you will find listings of all kinds of motorcycle events primarily in the NE Ohio area .  All my rides leave from the McDonalds at Salt Springs Road and Rt. 80.  I am going to strive to keep this site advertisement and pop up free and to not load it down with a lot of unnecessary junk. Email me with any events I have not listed and I will be happy to add them to my list.
